I'm pretty sure Tactical Innovations is Pike Arms and they look to be in stock... [ETA: 2 with sights in stock at time of posting]

YW. FWIW I used one of their receivers in a Rugerless 10/22 build and was very pleased with it.  Also used one of those ribbed barrels in a ScotWerx "Tommy Gun" build and it looks amazing.

I got a shipping notice as well, I bet these go out in batches and there's probably a 3 week batch turnaround time so I just got lucky ordering when I did. Now I still have to find a receiver.

Has anyone tried one of these on a TCR22 yet? I'm assuming it works?

Got mine, and like it was said before, it transforms the rifle into something much more substantial... The stock is extremely well built and lockup is tight! I also installed one of their raised front and rear sight sets and they perfectly align with the new stock's head placement, so either tech sights or one of Samson's sets is pretty much mandatory...

Has anyone duracoated one of these to match a blued rifle?
Link Posted: 4/2/2021 10:51:17 PM EDT
[#8]
After studying the way the stock locks up and how it is held in the open position... I don't think that any amount of quality duracoat/ceramic coating would hold up for any length of time...

Mine’s here. It’s glorious. Jesus, I wish I had one of these as a kid hiking around in VT. I can’t wait to shoot it with my boys. The blue/stainless does not bother me much but I will eventually get a 16 inch threaded barrel. Honestly one of my best purchases this year. Love it!

Dammit, I hate waiting. Lucked out and found a stainless 10/22 on Thursday for a good price and most of the other parts came in yesterday, stock should be here Monday.

Looks great!  My only complaint with the Tech Sights is the peep is a little small.  Great for shooting 10s and Xs in paper, not as good for steel and target transitions.

Couldn't you just drill out the rear sight?

Yes, that's possible.  But most of the holes I've ever drilled have been slightly oval instead of perfectly round.

If you could replace the peep with an AR15 A2 rear that may be best of both worlds.

You could always buy a reamer if you want a perfectly round hole.

A2 Large diameter aperture is .200.

https://www.mcmaster.com/8930A126/

You can find metric reamers a lot cheaper, 5mm is a little under and 6 is a little over.

I’m going to pick up a silver barrel band and charging handle to help complete the look. Still undecided about the trigger group color.

I received mine in the mail today.... man this thing is really nice.  I am really shocked what a nice stock this is for $250.

I have plans for a custom build on this stock, hopefully will turn out nice and will post pics once its completed.

Yeah, I think these are probably actually better on the 10/22 than they are on the mini-14.  It’s just “cool” which adds a lot of fun to a .22 plinker.

That's a good looking 10/22!  I like the two tone.  I'd keep the black TG as it looks good with the pistol grip.

Or you could just buy the NoDak rear sight that already has an A2 aperture.

I have this setup on my Mannlicher 10/22, and everyone who sees it loves it.  Very well built setup.

I was going to do a M1 carbine, but I think I am going this way instead.

By beef with the M1 was the quality of the wood.

You guys say this one also scratches easily?

ETA: Samson just got a bunch of my money.

Does anyone know if you could put a Mini-14 handguard on a 10/22 with a B-Tm stock? Would doing so require a Mini-14 gas block? If so, could you mount a Mini-14 gas block on the front of a B-Tm stock?

I've got a "stainless" 10/22 I'm going to SBR and put into a B-Tm stock with a binary trigger. I'd love to complete the A-Team look with a Mini-14 handguard.

There are lookalike handguards for the 10/22 and the stock is cut so it has clearance for the barrel band. I don't have an actual mini handguard to test fit though.

I’m looking at SBRing mine.  Love to see your results with a binary trigger.

Do any of the 10/22 binary triggers work well?

My Franklin works great, I think it mostly depends on how reliable your 10/22 is before putting one in.

An actual Mini-14 handguard is to wide for a 10/22 and will look out of place on the narrower 10/22.

I actually built what you are asking about many years ago using a cut down and modded butler creek folder, a modded polymer 10/22 hand guard heat shield,  and an AC556 gas block.

I am actually in the process of building another stainless SBR host in an almost identical setup but using a Samson B-Team folder,  a Ruger (mini-14 centric) flash hider, no optic but a tech sites 10/22 rear sight.  I have all the parts and started on it a month back or so but just have not had the free time to finish it.

This new stainless B-Team folder host will be the "mini me" to my AC556K.

I can do that if there is interest in a "how to" build guide.

However, its going to be a bit as I am going out of town for the next couple of weeks so won't have access to my shop until I get back.  Probably finish it up end of August / early September would be my best guess.

How long of a barrel is needed to get past the barrel strap?

I have an SBR receiver but I think the barrel is too short

Somewhere between 9.5-10" should do the trick.
