Replied to the Grand Power/Eagle Imports posts on Facebook. Rafael Del Valle the National Sales Manager for Eagle Imports has confirmed that the ATF has approved the Euro Stock for the Stribog for importation and that it shouldn't be too much longer before they start shipping to the US.

He suggests lubing with synthetic motor oil, and to clean and lubricate the weapon more frequently. Quality ammo would be preferable, as well.

Spoke to Jaro yesterday. Eagle Imports and GP are getting together to bring in the factory stocks as soon as possible. I had to get the CEOs on it, as there had been a communication problem regarding export documentation, etc. International business has its pitfalls.

@kpel308
I read somewhere, either on a facebook post on the Stribog group page or a youtube video, I cant remember which, but the poster said he had just returned from Slovakia where he bought a retrofit kit to make the charging handle non-reciprocating on his pistol in the US. Have you heard of such a kit? Do they exist? That's the only thing really holding me back form buying one. Thanks! |

The last time I spoke to Jaro about it a couple of weeks ago, he said it was up to Eagle Imports to order and import them. Same for the stocks. There had been a miscommunication regarding who was supposed to do what to get them into the country, but I believe they have that handled. (I linked Jaro and Eagle into the same conversation)
Anyway, here's hoping, as I believed that the reciprocating was one of the few flaws. Nice thing is that in the meantime he has come up with an ambi charging handle. |

Any new news? Has anyone tried fitting their Stribog with an AR FCG?

[#19]
Hi guys and greetings from Bulgaria, Europe.
I have a Stribog RSR9A1 - 13 inch barrel with an aluminum receiver. I change hammer and disconnector spring on FCG with springs from JP AR -15 REDUCED POWER SPRING KIT, and after a little polishing on the trigger group, the result is considerably lightweight trigger. I also tested to change the trigger reset spring, but I returned the factory one because, with the lightweight spring, the reset of the triger became loose and unpredictable. After the springs have been changed, I have about 1000 round with the Stribog without malfunctions. |

Dobre doshli. Blagodarya. I hope you enjoy your weapon. It would be nice if Americans didn't have to file paperwork just to have the original model, but it is what it is. Welcome to Arfcom!

Thanks for the good words. Yes, I'm happy with my Stribog. Its quality of workmanship is excellent and the price is quite acceptable. About paperwork - here in Bulgaria, we all dream of having the American gun laws.

According to Rafael Del Valle on Facebook's Grand Power Stribog Owners and Enthusiasts page: factory stocks should be arriving before the end of the month (December).

Good to know about the springs. The Stribog is on my list for a up and coming gun, I just don't know if I want to deal with having more magazine varietals. Stocking up on yet another style of mag is all that is holding me back. |
Prepping for survival isn't about how to have the most complex, drawn out tactical gunfight, it's about how to live such that a gunfight never occurs.

[#24]
So are they looking to import the new stribog with the non-reciprocating charging handle or a kit to convert the currect ones in the US?
[#25]
Jaro could make them if the importer wanted to bring them in. I do not know where they are at with that decision. Dealing with the BATFE, State, and Customs are the usual stumbling blocks.

non reciprocating CH would definitely push me over the edge
[#27]
You know, a variant lower that takes Scorpion or TP9 mags would cut those guys off at the knees...a variant lower that has a modular magwell with room up to 45acp and a (at least not difficult) replaceable barrel would be even better. Make the mag module and barrel interface specs publicly posted, and demand for the core firearm would explode as people develop caliber & mag conversions.
[#28]
Why is Jaro hoarding all the 30 rd mags?
