Wonder if they are doing it inhouse now. They told me to send my can into the AZ store so they could do it. Either way I'm excited to see the outcome, anything is better then what I did.

Tons of SOTs out there that will do a recore.

You can also just do it yourself.

No, you can't.  Only an 07/02 can legally replace silencer parts.

Silencer parts are considered silencers on their own.  So you getting a new core for your existing silencer means you're in possession of an unregistered silencer.

A form1 maker can absolutely recore their silencer. Simply, file a new form1 and make new internals. The ATF, themselves, even say this is legal.

Exactly why you file a new form1.

An SOT will charge up to and over $400, for a recore. Even after a $200 stamp, I can make new internals for ~$25.

There, I've legally recored my silencer. And you said it couldn't be done.

I'm fairly certain it's obvious to everyone but you that I meant without filing a new Form 1.

If the Form 1 is, as you say, implied, than why did you feel the need to counter my claim?

Before even mentioning the need of an additional Form 1, I said you can recore your own silencer, twice.

If everyone is as knowing as you allude (to all parts being silencers and, therefore, needing to be registered), than it's not necessary to clarify the need of an additional stamp

Just know, he’s backlogged several months. I ordered a thread adapter in August and I’m still waiting. He had surgery and can only work an hour or two a day so be prepared to wait

That's exactly what I did a few weeks ago. A little spendy but I've only heard good things about his cans.
