SCAR 17S - Page 1

I have been shooting my 2 Belgian SCAR 17S for over 5 years now.
I kept both of them original, with no aftermarket parts.
One has EOTECH EXPS 3, and the other has Elcan 1-3-9

Fired average 200 Rounds / week
(200 round X 40 weeks/year X 5 years) / 2 = around 20,000 rounds per rifle

I have never had a single malfunction.
I can't say the same about my HK, LMT, KAC or SIG

My experience as well......but I recently added a Giselle super scar trigger, which shrunk my groups to sub MOA.

Say that in GD and you’re going to give some fanboys an aneurism

Love my 17, I don’t shoot it as much now that I got my MWS, but my 17 works just as well as it always has. They’re great rifles.

MWS is not as reliable as SCAR 17s.
The accuracy is the same.
But SCAR 17s is the definition of reliability, even when it’s dirty.

I sold my HK MR762 and my MWS.
The 4 least reliable rifles I have ever owned, and I’m glade I sold them were Armalite, PTR, XCR and SIG.

I hated those 4 rifles.

Actually now I can sleep better at night after I sold those 4 ??

Huh, I have to wonder what was up with your MWS, they’re pretty universally highly regarded. My only wish is that mine had an adjustable gas block. Suppressed there are some times that, depending on ammo, it borders on overpassed (I guess the same is true of my 17). Other than that it’s awesome.

Never tried the MR762. I’m sure they’re nice, but I doubt I’ll ever be able to pay that HK premium.

Hk MR762 was almost as reliable as SCAR 17s.
Accuracy was the same.

I just preferred SCAR 17s.

On the other hand, Hk is a great company.

Hk mk23 and Hk USP are the best pistols and the most reliable pistols ever made.

I wish if I can say the same for FN pistols.

Welcome to ARFCOM! Interesting first post, I also really enjoy my 17 although it probably only has about 500 rounds through it 0 malfunctions and it also has mods.

Stock gas jet? It’s definitely an awesome platform, have had zero issues with mine that weren’t related to messing with gas jets or putting my thumb in the wrong spot
