A 10/22 tends to already be short.
How well does a Charger fit using the brace as opposed to converting to a SBR?
Was it just ok or well worth it?
Not doing a SBR and that extra $200 could be put into a setup.
If well worth converting, will consider that route.

Sorry, poor reading comprehension on my part...

Use the brace.

Get a nice chassis or a buffer tube adapter and run a brace. Super fun

not sure if you want numbers.... my 10/22 Charger is a take down, so one of the Copper Custom or GD AR buffer tube adapters would not work... so I installed it in a PMACA take down chassis... I added a UTG folding attachment and a KAK 8 1/2" tube (it has the reinforced shoulder) with a rubber end cap... I use this same tube and end cap on my AR pistols... I don't really need a blade or brace

overall 28 1/2"...... 18 3/4" with tube folded... that is with a factory 10" Charger barrel

I ordered a Charger earlier this week and of course it's gonna be awhile.
My fault for not ordering sooner, no hurry though. I have the PMACA
Multi Chasis with a Shockwave and a Burris Fastfire already waiting.

JT... you've seen the pics of my Charger... I have a LMT Mk 18 SBR.... my truck gun uses the same KAK tube that the Charger uses... just the rubber end cap works, and not a problem if not used... and I don't worry about the waffling  ATF directives.... gives me nose to charging handle...Les

I like the brace with folder.  Not interested in SBRing it at all.

Is that brace longer than normal?
What is the length from the back of the brace to the trigger?

The Hera folding adapter adds about 1.6" to length.  It's 12.75 from back to trigger.

For a 10/22 I see no reason to pay $200 when a brace will do the same.  I use the sb tactical 1913 folding brace.

I dont see the point in adding another stamp or two for these guys.
really happy with them as is
(dont have pics of them suppressed, but imagine SiCo cans on the ends when in actual use)

I wasn't paying attention that Ruger had produced a Charger with the 1913 rail on the rear of the stock... would have saved me the cost of a PMACA chassis, just install a 1913 folding brace

@BuffDragon
What barrel is on the bottom gun? And how long is it?

Does it cycle bulk ammo? And is it short enough to keep bulk ammo from going supersonic?

I form 1'ed a 10/22 a few years ago but haven't got around to completing it yet. Now I think I'm ready to finish it.

Will the collapsing brace slide all the way in? Or does the rails hit the chassis?

I was able to get a good deal on another chassis and thinking about SBRing it and going with some sort of collapsing stock similar to your brace.

I have one with a brace, and see no reason anyone would want to go SBR instead.

I’m on the fence with this too, because I have a takedown in a backpacker stock. Awesome set up. But would love for it to be short and quiet. So I could either stamp it and use my existing can (probably $400 between stamp and new barrel) or order a suppressed 16” barrel ($what $500?).

Neither seem super ideal but doesn’t stop me from wanting it...
