My brother has this rifle.

He had a Timney trigger put in it 30+ years ago.

This year it started misfiring, every 20 or so rounds he gets a light primer strike.

I took the rifle apart to inspect the trigger.   If I am careful, I can actually pull the trigger and disconnect the sear without firing the rifle.

Then I noticed:  There is no Sear pivot pin in the rifle.

Seems to me this is the obvious issue.

But since it worked for 25+ years, IS there a reason the timney trigger would not use a pivot pin?  I can't imagine but stranger things have happened.

Thanks

Tom
