Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Ruger American receiver threads

More to vent than anything.  I waited 20 weeks to get a prefit barrel for my ruger american action.  Got it, and find it's not "pre-fit".  The threads on the barrel are correct, but the internal threads in the receiver are too shallow, so now I'm paying a gunsmith to "deepen" the receiver threads, and probably waiting another month, and gopher season is wasting away!

ARGH!!!!
