What height rings do I need for a RAR in 7.62x39 with a 2x7x32 1 inch Scope?  Low or Medium?

I would think medium would do just fine, low might run into some issues with the rail and the adjustment knob on the scope

Bigman you are right.  I also emailed Vortex after posting this and they said I would need medium rings, the low rings would not fit.

Im using a leupold 1x4 scope mounted in a set of leupold prw 1" low rings. Leupold prw low rings are .75"  high and mediums are .88" high. I have plenty of clearance with my setup.

The Vortex low rings are .63 and the medium are .87.

I had a Redfield 2-7 scope on my 5.56, and was using Warne QD low rings and they worked great

The factory guy tells me I need medium but everyone is using low rings fine.

While not a 2-7, I have a 1-6 in Warne medium rings and it's perfect for me.

PRW low rings had plenty of clearance for a leupold 3x9 on my rifle.

Thank you everyone for all the info.  I did not know that ring manufactures had different heights for each ring size.  When I started looking into this I thought low, medium and high rings would have an industry standard as far as all being the same size.  Some manufactures low size rings are the same size as others medium rings.  (At least that is what I see it as).

I think rings are pretty much standard except there are now standard or original rings and there are AR rings.  That is probably the difference you are seeing.

Most times, the scope has more to do with it than the rings, because different scopes have different size adjustment rings or objective housings.  So for the others that have stated they are using lows it really does not pertain to your question unless they are running the same scope on the same rifle.

Thank you for all the replies.  I purchased a leupold 2x7x33 and a set of Warne 200M low mount rings.  They fit very well and I like the way it sits on the rifle.

Leupold low rings used with a 1 inch Redfield 3x9x40 I had laying around.  Fit perfect for me.  I love shooting this rifle.  Very handy.

Low leupold prw on mine. Clears the 2-7 Sig scope just fine. I’ve got another that clears the 3-9 x 40 Sig just fine with same rings.

I used medium Vortex rings for the Vortex 2x7x32 scope........works perfectly for me, I  get a solid cheek weld, perfect eye relief and comfortable natural shooting position.
