So this may be a non-traditional mold I'm referencing as it's not for bullets, but rather fishing sinkers/split shot.  I order it new off of ebay.  It's a lil mac mold and it looks to be somewhat aged, though new/unused.  Problem is, when I took it out of the packaging, it was seized in place and won't close.  I contacted the seller and he said since I opened it he can't take it back.  I can take him stonewalling me up with ebay, but I wanted to give it a fair shot to loosen this up.  My concern is, if it's like this now...even if I can work a lubricant in there, isn't going to get even worse when it heats/cools?

Again, any thoughts on loosening this hinged up would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Heat hinge with torch to get it warm, then apply Kroil.

Let it sit awhile and keep working on it.

Soak with Kroil.  That stuff is amazing.
