I have just returned from camping and noticed a couple of small rust spots on the edge of my Winkler. What is the best way to remove the spots ?

Strop + stropping compound for surface rust on edge.

Every time I visit smkw I grab one of their rust erasers. It’s like a old school eraser that has a rough texture from the compound they use. Works magic without harming the blade. I was sold after the guy at the esee stand pulled one out and cleaned up one of the display knives(ppl can’t seem to not touch those blade edges).
