Some basic stuff of where to look.  An SAR 48 with Israeli upper is metric and takes metric mags? Gas regulator settings?  That kind of stuff.  It's been a long time and I've slept since then.

Yes that should be metric pattern.

I'm not sure but some of the Izzy specific parts on the upper
may not be backwards compatible to other metric uppers.
Gas piston and sights and handguards.

You talking about the Heavy Barrel SAR48, right?

I really wish I'd kept my HB !!

Springfield SAR48 Israeli where the HB version. Most of the major upper parts are unique to that model. They used an Imbel receiver.

The standard Bush and para model where all  Imbel. They even sold a few select fire pre 86.

All take metric mags.

Gas wise I start in the middle and open it up untill it won't lock action open for 3 shots  in a row with a single round loaded in the mag. Then I close it back 2 clicks
