Im putting a Vortex Diamondback 4-12 on a Ruger American Ranch 5.56 and need some 1" rings.

Who should I be looking at? Not looking for top end rings since its not a top end rifle, but want decent rings for the setup

Might get flamed but Ive found that a cheap set of rings that worked pretty well are the Matched Vortex.
Put them on my 12 year old sons rifle and they have worked really well actually.

Get the vortex rings, they are extremely nice rings for the money...

I like Warne and TPS for budget options.

I've had good luck with Leupold PRW rings.  Been using them for years.

These?   Vortex Precision Matched

Nothing at all wrong with those.  Recommended on Snipers Hide with some regularity.

Not a damn thing wrong with the old standby: Weaver.
The requirement to account for the slight scope rotation as you tighten them might be too much for some, but they are simple, strong, and cheap.

I generally use Warne vertically split rings, but boy, can they be a pain in the ass.

Yes.  On many of my hunting rifles.  They are the lever RTZ type, using Talley’s proprietary double lug bases and matching rings.  Not Picatinny.  Strong, light, steel, slim, elegant.  Levers are on the left side.  Not “tactical”.  But far better in appearance when that matters.  The ring halves are mated and the bottom area that goes between the base lugs are machined as a unit with matching numbers for each half.  Extremely tight tolerances.
