They rebarrel those frequently in Switzerland, so I don't see what the issue is.

" Rebarreling a K31 is not a simple thing. The breech end of the barrel is very complex and difficult to machine. Most guys who rebarrel use the breech end of the old barrel as a bushing and screw the new barrel into it. I have no idea how that affects accuracy. I can't imagine having 2 sets of threads will help but maybe its not bad "
