So, I bought a Rattler and was intending to Form 1 it to sbr.

I already have 3 AR sbrs so I decided it would be better to run upper on a registered lower, and keep the option to run it as a pistol.

So I bought the adapter, and it all goes together great.

While browsing videos on how to disassemble the bolt, I saw that there is an updated firing pin lock to run with Geissele triggers. My SBR lower has a SSA trigger in it.

Do I need to get one of the Firing pin locks for the SSA?

I called Sig this morning. They were super nice, but guy had to put me on hold and go ask someone else. I feel my question got a little muddied up.

Any ideas?

I do not have a Rattler, but I do have 2 MCX uppers, one pistol and one rifle.  Both of my uppers now have the "G" firing pin lock to work with my SSA trigger set (which, by the way also work with a "regular" hammer).  Without the "G" firing pin lock, the hammer would drop and gun not fire with the SSA trigger set.

Easy for you to test and see what happens or doesn't happen.

So, if it fires, it's good to go?

I did a function test, and it works. I was afraid to shoot it, worried something might get damaged.

The top of the hammer will either move the firing block allowing the hammer to hit the firing pin and move it forward to hit the primer or it will not.  No damage in either case.   Either "click" or "bang".  You could always chamber a primed case with no powder and bullet and try it at home without going to the range.
