Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Rattler + Muzzle Device + Shims?

Just got a Rattler Conversion kit for my SBR lower.  So I'm trying to install a Griffin Armament muzzle brake, which needs to be timed.  Tried to put the shims on, and it just slides over the shoulder and onto the barrel.  Has anyone experienced this, and has a work around?  Or am I SOL on the quick attach and just using my thread on can?

You have to use the black Sig thick shim first. Should have come with your rattler upper

Thanks so much.  It had slipped underneath the foam and I didn't see it until I went looking for it.  Let me give that a shot
