I've posted this a couple of other places, so might as well include Arfcom. I have a Rat Worx gas trap M1 kit that I'm finally getting around to assembling. I need to get the barrel installed and headspaced to my bolt and I figured I'd have the entire thing refinished at the same time. Does anyone know if the gas cylinder can be oxide coated like the originals were without altering tolerances and functionality? It's currently bare stainless steel, which I'd love to darken up. Thanks for any help.
