Saw these on IG. Anyone know anything about them? Seems like it's meant to compete with the Sentinel.

And here I've considered getting rid of my Mod3's for Sentinels....hmmm

Compared to the sentinel these will be a touch lighter, stronger, and cheaper.

The sentinel can run a ball detent mount or dovetail and has the option for a remote battery pack.

I think these are going to be very popular.

Talked to Glynn at night vision inc yesterday for a bit about them.

6g lighter than Sentinels

Will be able to take a battery pack directly to the unit, no ball detent needed, like a psq36/pvs31

Aluminum and not derlin

There is a single gain unit on the horizon.

Hopefully will have a demo unit in hand next week I can give a full hands on review and some time under them.

Holy........... They had me at 6oz lighter. Not sure if they number will be accurate but it should be close. Bummer on the no battery pack as that’s a feature I want.

lol I thought 6oz was too good to be true but 6g is still something.

Guess it comes down to price at this point for me.

A SG with direct hook up remote battery would be pretty sick. Might make me get a new set of Binos.

Yea, hear the RNVG is going to be a bit cheaper than the sents.

AB night vision makes a good chunk of the aftermarket housings....

Mod3s
Sentinels
RNVGs
The older NVD BNVGs
NVD Micro
Pitbulls
Mongooses
NVM2aas

ALL these come from Adam at AB NV
Dude is a modern genius IMHO

Correct, but it is coming in the future.

There is talk of a 2 battery low profile pack as well. Way smaller than the normal anvis pack.

I understood this. That’s why I said “would”. Good thing I have my DBNVGs to tide me over til “if and when” it comes out.

Pretty excited about these. Was looking to upgrade from PVS-14 to Sentinels late this year or early next year. I don't have a need for the ball detention mount so these sound great to me, especially at a lower price point.

Eta: I didn't see it, but I assume these are auto gated and auto gain..

Indeed for MX10160 format tubes. If you have later model L3 tubes they can easily be converted (and back to MX11769 too just as easily).

Overall interesting developments in the bino markets during the previous 2 years. Everyone coming out with a new model with some extra interesting units in the mix like that Mini BNVD from NVDevices (Harris that is then?) and their low weight optics (sub 415g with battery they say), the 80deg WFOV PVS-15 from N-Vision Optics/Kent Optronics and many more but those two stand out being quite peculiar in their own ways.

Having a external battery pack with the dovetail mount would probably push me over the edge towards getting one. Very excited to see more on these if it becomes an option in the future.

Email Glynn direct. That is an option I was looking at too. But he convinced me to sell off my tubes and just go all in on a complete system. For the price I'm 100% sold.

Who wants to buy some tubes lol
Link Posted: 6/4/2018 10:48:04 AM EST
On this site they are about 1250 cheaper than sentinels.

They're coming with DEP each tubes so that's probably why.

So how much is it with the full kit? I've been saving pennys for my first set of Binos. This might be the ticket.

I posted the link assuming this seller is using the same tubes in either set, so the price difference between the two should be comparable across similarly setup sentinels or rnvg.

Maybe I missed it. But is there an option for ANVIS Glass?
A $1075 upgrade for an ANVIS goggles would prolly be a home run for a lot of people.

I’ll probbly find a way to swap one or two pairs of my Sents when/if the other options come out.
