The worry of potentially stripping coating or plating from bullets comes to mind.
And, there is the possibility of bullets being undersized from pulling operations. |

I bought 1k of pulled 230 gr HST. Worked up a mid book load for them. Surprise, they shot exactly like factory, pull marks and All.
I would not buy pulled plated however. |

Seems most pulled bullets are coming from Mil surplus, so I'd expect them to be jacketed and not coated.
I just ordered 2k pulled 40 s&w Hi-Shok and hope they don't have any difference in accuracy. |

Light pull marks are normal. Properly crimped ammo will have light pull marks.
Heavy pull marks could be another story depending on the meaning of "heavy". I have loaded plated 9mm bullets with pull marks, no problems were encountered. Same with Jacketed. As a matter of fact I seek them out at the funshow. Just used up some 124 gr 9mm plated bullets with pull marks, paid $12 for 250 at the funshow. |
