Myself, always preferred the older APS primer strips since you can just load up a shit load of them to store that way, isntead of having to play with loading tubes, then empty the tubes when you not loading to keep the tubes clean when stored instead.
Hence on the older RCBS aps primer tool, it had an adjustable stopper on it from the start, but just no so easy to makes adjustments like on the Holland system isntead.

As for strips, since RCBS has moved away from the APS system and not longer sells primers already in the strips, you can pick up new empty strips on Ebay on the way, way cheap side now. Hence for bench rest rigs, I use Fed match primers which never came in the APS strips, so would just load them in the strips to store that way instead.
The glitch would be if you are loading berdan primers since there are no strips for that size primer, and would be better off with the new primer tube feeder isntead.
