The farmers think I'm crazy when I show up from the city like this and start gettin' all tactical in their back fields. Once they find out who I voted for, I get showered with offers of iced tea and sammiches.

That one’s the real deal.

If you’re looking to snag one retail, Varusteleka, militarykit, and Britishmilitarysurplus.co.uk have em from time to time

I put DWR on my MTP Windproof Smock. Beats carrying a separate rain jacket, and the smock is usually warm enough on its own so I can leave a jacket behind. Some of the best money for gear I've spent.

Our very own @Glockluvinredleg just did this SICK holster wrap and whipped up some mag pouches for me out of some genuine Vietnam era USGI Tigerstripe fabric! Couldn’t be more pleased than to have some dope gear made by a friend and a true American.

@Glockluvinredleg

What are you using for adhesive on the wraps?

Iirc that one was a flash spray of permanent contact cement to the back of the fabric (unlined polycotton) to proof it against adhesive bleed true and shine spots, folkowed by clear flexible marine adhesive on the holster.

All the seams and exposed edges were finished and sealed with either weld all or epoxy to prevent edge unraveling, lifting, and water/dirt intrusion into the fibers, which eventually cause peeling.

That is great work!  Nice job!

Thanks!

Put a decent amount of time into this one figuring out how to reinforce/strengthen the mag holders without adding excessive bulk or dramatically changing their out a and appearance.

Poly-cotton is decent for holster wraps and  winter weight fatigues/uniforms, but less than ideal for load bearing purposes.,

@HunterB93 if you were refering to my post, it's not Safariland. It's a Renaissance Firearms Harrington. They just use the Safariland thumb break hood. Great holsters, my go to for anything Safariland ALS doesn't cover.

Can that RMR you have mounted over the NF see over that turret? I've been thinking of mounting one the same way on mine but it looks like the turret is too tall to see over?

I was considering camp dry, but following the care instructions and ironing it after it’s dry have been working great for water repellency

Found a very cheap set from a kid that used It for airsoft of a jpc and d3cr made by Ars Arma in Russia. Ars Arma makes copies of rigs and contact items, some for FSB soldiers. I think they are very well made, If not on par with the US ones (also quote expensive rigs). There Is also an adapter set of 4 strapa and a velcro molle panel to use the d3cr as a placard.

Side plate holders are made in china by TMC and stitching and stretch material Is notably different (not that i Will use them).

I have to give credit to Darin talbot for having designed such a wonderful rig, however It doesn't suit my needs, maybe It Will be good for a casual day at the range.

Packing for another LARPing session.

Stuff on the left is either worn or goes in my ruck, then the stuff on the right goes in the rolling bag. Ruck goes with me, rolling bag comes in to wherever we're going with the main body personnel and has some extra uniforms/clothes and creature comfort type stuff.

decided to try the ars arma JPC for a day at the range. I put plates, an extra magazine pouch, a TAG radio pouch (that ended up holding a water bottle) and a quad-fold ifak made by battlelab (pictured also the paraclete one that i have laying around that is definitely worse). It occurred to me that i may run the quad fold as a dangler suspended from the single row of PALS that's under the flap even if i can take the ifak content where it is now.

For the Belt i used an old rigger belt of mine, not that i need extraction capability, but it's rigid to hold holster comfortably.
Don't laugh at the holster, it is a Protech Intimidator that have served me well for years as it can hold comfortably my beretta (for which i usually use pre-formed holsters), 1911 Style pistols and also the S&W 586 4" revolver. It has a belt loop and belt clip and a simple thumb snap.

The gas mask bag (made by London Bridge Trading) is there because at the latest FTX a smoke grenade discharged near my position and i was forced to come out of my concealment, so we decided to try some gas mask donning and simple shooting drills. It's obviously large, but less cumbersome than the issue mask bag.
The E&E drop pouch is made by TAG and that is a style that i like (i also have one made by Blackhawk and London Bridge Trading), it holds ID, car Keys, Snacks, a minor injuries first aid kit, medications and some other small items.

Everything worked without any major problem (may need better hydration and a dump pouch for longer trips).
