I figure this falls under gunsmithing.

I was thinking of trying out some texturing myself, I've toyed with stippling before and I've messed with Silicon carbide applied with  epoxy.

Then I got to thinking about a Robar textured frame I owned years ago as well as some skillfully applied bed liner coated examples I've seen.

Anyone happen to know what Robar's process is? I'm thinking they use some type of black epoxy compound and have their skillful application ?

Just looking for any suggestions, lessons learned etc...

I do not but on the stippling boards I am on, I have seen folks use their work as pics to show bad work and just laugh at them. I love the look and feel and would also like to know the process.
