Most of the traffic on this forum revolves around launchers of various types, but how about some love and gun porn for the "other" DDs out there? I'll start it off with this one:

It's a Sentinel Arms Striker-12 which was a licensed copy of the South African Armsel Striker. In 1990 when I bought it, it had an 18" barrel and was a normal Title 1 shotgun. In 1993, the Brady Bunch (at that time known as Handgun Control, Inc.) petitioned the Treasury Department to have the Striker-12 and two other shotguns models reclassified as DDs on the basis of them being "non-sporting" and having a bore > 0.5". Of course, the Clinton administration happily complied. About 18,000 guns were affected and ATF set about trying to track them down to get them on the NFA registry. Registration was done on Form 1, but tax exempt.
The upside of these guns being DDs is that barrel length no longer mattered. I toyed with the idea of having mine reworked to 12" but kept putting it off. As it turned out, I almost waited too long. About 18 months ago, I finally contacted Combined Tactical Systems (the successor to Sentinel Arms) to see if they could rebarrel my gun. I really didn't expect much of a response, so the reply I got back surprised me. They told me they had discontinued production of the guns but would check to see if they still had the necessary parts in stock and, if so, they would rebarrel my gun. Long story short, they did have the parts required and were able to rework my gun to what you see here.
