Of what you own now, you can keep four, what do you keep?

I keep my Marlin 60, Remington 870 26" bbl, Glock 23 and AR-15 in 6.8spc. I feel the 6.8 AR would double for medium game and defensive use.

I would have to give up a Glock 23, Colt Combat Commander, Remington 870 18" BBL, Remington 7600 .30-06, 6.8 AR-15 a 5.56 AR-15 and two SLR-95's.

Oh dear...

1. Cold 6920 because I need my militia rifle
2. Mossberg 590 because I like 15 pellet 00 for home defense!

The other two would need to be handguns because I carry and can't do with juts one, so I'd get
3. Glock 40 10mm (since it's my favorite handgun)
4. Glock 43 (since I can carry it with more restricted dress ... and it's cute!)

I'd be sad giving up my muzzleloader but I only hunt with it every other year or so. :(

Tough choices, I’d probably have a hard time picking 20. Anyway, here goes:

-Beretta ARX100, yes it is ugly but very light and completely reliable.  I’d want a spare barrel, probably 10.5”, and some spare parts. If that couldn’t happen I would probably replace it with one of my AR SBRs with multiple uppers.

-Savage FV-SR with Boyd’s stock and suppressor. This rifle is very accurate and movie quiet with the can. Plus there has to be a .22 on the list.

-Glock 19 RTF2. Boring, but reliable, concealable, and parts are everywhere.  The Gen3 RTF2 is the perfect Glock IMO.

-MAC M10/45 with Lage Upper, suppressor, etc. I’d like to have another handgun on the list but I’m not giving up the only machine gun I’m likely to ever own.

Honorable mention goes to the IWI Jericho FS45. Hard to beat a .45 ACP CZ-75 clone (I suppose that makes it a CZ-97 clone, but it is more compact).

hmm. I'd have to say.

my glock 19L (EDC/ fighting pistol)

I'd quickly rebuild my 14.5 5.56 Recce back with leupold mr/t 1.5-5 (comfortable from 0-500 yard with mk262)

My savage 110 (does 1 gun and multiple barrels count ) if I had to pick 1 barrel it would be my .260 but I'd have to chuck it in the lathe and bob it to about 20" and put the profile on a diet. (currently 28" varmint contour)

hmm the last one would have to be my ruger MKII pistol (love this little guy crazy accurate out to 50 yards, could easily make shots out to 75-100yds on small game from a rest if needed)

currently have a 30 cal and 9mm cans which would work on the first 3 and the last one in a pinch. (maybe put a rmr on it to clear the suppressor)

If I was forced to have only 4 that would mean that the SHTF likely so I'd spin up a dedicated can for the MKII ala integral.

I agree about 24 would be my minimum but 4?!
I am primarily a pistol shooter so I would likely go all pistols at that point:
1) S&W 15,4” ( Icore, home defense, secondary carry, woods gun, idpa, centerfire bullseye in a pinch)
2) S&W 17,6” ( everyone needs a lifelong durable .22, steel challenge, bullseye competition)
3) glock 26 (carry, gssf, idpa, uspsa production, home defense)
4) 1911 ( with a .22 conversion kit as well)

I chose four because it would cover most bases and/or scenarios to include hunting, large game/small game and ccw/edc and/or self-defense. Self defense could be done with just a .22 as well as most hunting, but for a well-rounded arsenal four allows some overlap where specific firearms would be better than others.

The shotgun would be best for birds, rabbit, squirrels and even deer, hogs, bears, whatever game you can get reasonably close to with the right ammo, but not best for edc unless your in the wilds 24/7.

The handgun would be best for ccw edc, but not so good for hunting unless you can get up close.

The .22 is good for small game and even can take larger game if close enough and is usually light enough to carry around but not very concealable and could be used for self-defense if necessary.

The 6.8 AR would be good for defense and hunting larger game, not so much for smaller game and birds, not a edc unless your outdoors in the wilds all the time or its permitted in populated areas, which is mostly not likely unless you live in Israel.

But if I had to choose only three I'd probably lose the pistol and keep the AR, if only two I'd probably lose the AR and keep the shotty with an 18" bbl and the .22 Marlin. If it came down to just one, I'd have to keep the 870, it's just too versatile to not have.

Only four would be hard. Just to keep everything well rounded.

- 10.5" 5.56 AR SBR
- Beretta/Benelli M2 12ga
- Sig P229 9mm
- Savage 111 338 Lapua

And if I could have a 5th, it would be my Dan Wesson .357

Man, maybe I can pair down my collection...

Most practical choice:
AR15 (assuming I get to keep a 22lr upper in addition to the 5.56 upper)
870P
P229
G19

Alternatively, as it would give me the widest variety of handgun calibers that I could shoot:

It would be hard to pick 4, I would have to give up family heirlooms.

10/22 with suppressor, kidd barreled, quiet tack driver for small game hunting and controlling the nuisance animals around my property

Rem 11/87 12ga, I like rabbit hunting with an autoloader even though my 20ga 870 wingmaster is probably a better rabbit gun. Can I keep the extra rifled slug barrel?

SBR’d AR with suppressor, do I have to choose one upper?

Ruger LCP .380acp, because I like to carry as often as possible and my larger handguns would mean sometimes being disarmed when clothing doesn’t permit a larger gun. The gun you’ll always carry is better than the one occasionally left in the safe if you can only have one.  If it’s a shtf teotwawki etc, I would probably take my m&p40c as it’s a good balance between a concealed carry gun and a primary sidearm.

I can only assume I have to pick four because either the normal world is ending or I shouldn't have bet my entire net worth on Bernie Madoff...regardless if I had to only keep four guns I would want to cover these bases (in order of importance to me)...

A) Daily self-defense carry;
B) Home defense;
C) Multi-Purpose (cheap range enjoyment, training, and if I get tired of eating grass ... small game hunting);
D) Multi-purpose shotgun (home defense, clay pigeons, and again if tree bark is proving to be a monotonous diet ... deer / fowl / wing hunting)

Therefore ...

A) HK P2000SK (9mm is cheap and plentiful.  The gun is small enough for any use, but large enough for "combat" ... rolleyes)
B) FN Scar-16S with Trijicon TA31 ACOG
C) Ruger 10/22 Stainless with Leupold VX3
D) Benelli M2 Field with 21" and 26" Barrels

F/A mp5 is just a given.  So down to three.

AR-15 (Savage MSR recon), gotta have a rifle.  Tempted to sub for the AUG, but it's just not as universal.  I can put whatever I need on the AR, not so much with the AUG.  And right now I only have one mag for it.

Need a CCW, so that pretty much forces the HK P30sk.  I suppose I could use the VP9, as I did carry that when it was my only gun, but I feel like a smaller package is important.

Mark 23 with Rugged Obsidian 45 suppressor and (soon) DBAL-PL for operating operationally.  Primary home defense (I'll get a can for the AR eventually....), and if I ever have cause to go stalking/sneaking around stealth mode, this would be the way.  Like somehow ANTIFA rises and gets us by surprise, and now it's guerilla warfare/get on the move to avoid the sweeper teams rounding us up for the gulags.  Or those sound-attracted zombies.
