Here's the thread from the seller about the rifle. It's still yet to be determined if it left Devine as a receiver, barreled receiver or a complete rifle. I don't think we'll ever know for sure. I bought it based on the receiver, sum of the parts it's built with, and the extras that came with it.

Nice rifles!  Didn't know H&R produced M14s.  Nice FAL as well!

Was cleaning some rifles, thought I'd share a picture.  What do you all think?  Sorry for the phone pic.

I think this is about as low as possible to scope an M14/M1A conventionally.

Yep, and I really dig that setup. But I did say scoped and conventionally.

I've been thinking about going to an EER or IER scope on the Ultimak M8 to get it a little lower.

That’s really nice.
Thank you. It fills the void that I needed in my rifles of the 20th/21st century Marine Corps rifleman/ US Army infantryman clone collection. The only thing I need now is an m1903 A3

it worked well. I really messed around with the rifle from May-Now and recently went traditional. ARMS 18 Split ring/irons/aimpoint/scope options. it's now finished :)

its in 6.5 Creedmoor and the nosler 123gr pills are soft shooters and accurate. it does 1-1.5moa with irons (depends on me), about 2moa with the big 4moa aimpoint dot, and 1 moa (sometimes sub!) with the 3-12 Nikon.

DemoMouse thats hot!!!!! :)

Picked up the rifle this afternoon. Seems to be largely correct and in very good condition. It appears to be all, mostly all, IHC manufacture. Exceptions are the gas cylinder and gas cylinder lock. Trigger group is IHC although I did not check the hammer plunger, follower, etc. Receiver, op rod, and trigger group seem to be IHC.
The bore needs to be cleaned and shows as frosty to me. The seller included four bandoliers of the Korean K-headstamped ammo which is corrosive if I remember right. That may be why the bore is frosty. The rifling is there but I don't think I'd call it sharp. MW and TE are right on up there.
The stock is Overton and has the OR impressed into the wood. I didn't remove either handguard.
All told I spent 950 for the rifle and ammo. Image link below.

New to me IHC Garand

Receiver: IHC 5009166, ‘postage stamp’, drawing number D6528291 - P

Bolt: D6528287 IHC, u, punch mark above drawing number

Barrel: LMR D6535448 6 53 A13, serifed and non-serif P proof marks, DAS stamp, M stamp, punch mark on LMR stamping, MW @ 5, TE @ 4, bore frosty, rifling good

Gas Cylinder: Saw-cut, no finish.

Gas Cylinder Lock: round top

Gas Plug: NHC IHC

OP Rod: 6535382 IHC

Rear Sight Windage: DRC

Rear Sight Elevation: IHC

Trigger Housing: IHC D6528290

Trigger: IHC

Hammer: C-554600 IHC

Stock: OR 3022, faint DAS impression, faint P on pistol grip
