Why are PS90’s priced so high right now? I know supply and demand but seems to be a lot for sale everywhere. Even the MIL pricing is around $1250.... think they will drop back down around 1K anytime soon?

Unless FN wants to drop dealer cost, the retail cost isn't going to drop.
Right now dealer cost is $1250 and MAP is $1489 |
|
That’s surprising since I picked one up 2-3 weeks ago for $1295. Although that’s the lowest price I think I’ve seen in a long time.

Love mine. Had mine for a while. It is my home go to weapon. Attached File

You’re going to want to budget exactly $200 more for your PS90 project than you’re thinking (Plus the cost of a barrel chop/new barrel). Ask me how I know

Had one for years... always loved it. One of the guns that I thought I would always keep even if I somehow ran out of ammo for it. Grew up seeing it in the back of gun books in the final, future weapons chapter next to the gyrojet, steyr acr & g11. I finally recently SBRd it. Love it even more. Want another one.

I found one locally for $1000 and am damn tempted to snag it. I've got 4 or 5 factory magazines I picked up a couple years ago for $10 a piece.

hope you bought it!

Just got my hands on a used one last week. $1100 with 4 50 round FN mags. Then I added a Tax Stamp, CMMG barrel, 1/2x28 adapter, Holosun optic, Trosusa lowprofile rail, and UrbanERT sling, now it's a $2100 rifle and I'm probably a dead man when my wife puts all the numbers together.

$1,405.91 for 1 NEW PS90 with 5, 50rd mags
$286.93 for a CMMG barrel and thread adapter $130.00 for a Design Machine mount $342.94 for a Type 6 3.25 RMR $200 tax stamp $30.00 engraving THSF TOTAL 2,395.78 |

Doesn't sting as bad when you go in increments, I got my PS90 about 8 years ago, got the black ring sight about 4 years ago and finally went the
SBR route this year. I wish I could say the same for the MPX, EVO, PRT 9CT, and Stribog.....ouch. |

Don’t feel too bad about that price. I paid 2.5k for my OD green gen 2 after sandy hook

Quoted: Lots of people with crazy ideas out there. Saw these last month at a gun show, the guy was completely serious and got pissy when I asked about it. Went back by just to take a few pics cause it was so ridiculous. At least his PS90s weren’t as crazy as his FS2000. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/493593/DB76679C-9BBE-482C-9AF6-3C9AA678F02F_jpe-1287341.JPG https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/493593/A867F4CB-C48A-4A21-9CDE-EB79494C8B7C_jpe-1287343.JPG https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/493593/770A2604-B6C6-4111-B339-7968FF33BE3C_jpe-1287345.JPG View Quote |

I got a black PS90 with a gen 3 pack for 1425. As soon I got it I efiled a form 1, and 30 days later I got my stamp. I just recently sold the FN barrel on another forum for 275. I did a CMMG 10.4 barrel conversion, and a Design Machine MRO mount.
|
|
I got mine two months ago for $1275. Traded a Glock 19.3 and Rem700P and paid the difference. Purchased a CMMG barrel and adapter, filed the paperwork January 25th, just trying to decide which optic for it.
It came with a 30round mag which I cut the spacer for the full 50 rounds and feeds flawlessly. |
|
Damn, prices have really climbed. The Mil price when I bought mine was $950. Of course this was about 5 years ago. I still need to Form 1 mine and buy the parts to make it an SBR. I'm using a RSO optic mount and RMR. So far, even with AE ammo, it's been flawless.
That guy that wants $6800 for an FS2000 is high as hell on bath salts. I dont know how guys like that can even afford to pay for a table, show after show, with ridiculous prices on everything they bring. They must know what they got? I guess there are just enough morons to keep guys like this afloat. |
|
And I thought they were high when I paid $799.00
When FN’s patent runs out I think you will see clones CHEAP! |

You might want to consider sending your factory barrel to Mark McWillis of TROS, after he cuts it down and re-threads it, you will have a clone of a factory FN P90 barrel.
Currently, he’s cut down OVER 1,000 |

I just roll my eyes at this. The entire point of the PS90 is a low-cost plastic molded rear-echelon arm of simple low cost construction and components. It's supposed to be very inexpensive to make, by design. Aaaaannnnddd it's $1200.
ETA this isn't to say it's junky - far from it; the engineering is genius and comes up with a great gun. That should cost less than a PSA AR15. |
