Anyone have any trouble with converting 30 Rd mags to 50s?  There is a deal on 30s right now, but I want 50s.  Do they function 100% after the conversion?

Thanks guys.  CDNN is selling factory 30s for $14.99.  I don't know if thats great,  but it beats the $25 I was about to spend.

The AR57 mags are also GTG.  No issue in converting from 30 to 50rds.

The AR57 mags that I have seen were already 50s...

Where did you find 30s to convert?

Bullpup Armory has these little locking plates from percivel Armament that are only a couple bucks a piece and work great for turning 30s into 50s and still having the floor plate lock in properly.

14.99 mag + 3.00 floor plate and you have a excellent 50 rounder for 17.99 which is still a great deal.

CDNN had a sale a while back on the AR57 50 rounders for $10 a piece, so I bought a bunch of those.   Those have been ultra reliable and indistinguishable from factory magazines that I have.  They are US made and not the Chinese junk mags others sell.   My PS90 came with one 30 rounder and after I converted it to a 50 rounder I started having issues with feeding after a few hundred rounds.    The spring lengths were not the same in my native 50 rounders and the 30 my rifle came with.  So your experience may vary, but for me, I go with native 50 rounders.

I got a deal on 30s - but they don't want to fit my 57 upper.
