Graywolf

I just wanted to let you know that your FAL looks GREAT!

I'm new to the forum (Hello All!), and I was browsing the FAL pix.  I saw your FAL and I just had a few questions about it.

For many years, I have been interested in an FAL, and I'm finally in the market to pick one up.  I just wanted to know about your furniture ...was in manufactured that color, or did you paint it? ...and if so, what type of paint in best for the job??

Also, the handguards ...or these manufactured or custom made??  Where could someone purchase them??

Any info that you could provide would be appreciated!

Thank You!!

The gun came that way from the factory, that it partly what makes it a gray wolf, you could have them duracoat it in another color I wanted the gray. The hand guard is factory with the gray wolf so is the bull barrel I also got the type III reciever it's stronger no lighting cuts makes it more accurate go to www.dsarms.com and ck them out. My ffl became a DSA dealer after he saw the graywolf. It is a great great rifle very good shooter ....

Any info that you could provide would be appreciated!

not trying to be argumentative, and i don't consider myself a RKI but i don't think that bears out in reality.
sweet stuff tho!

Quoted from DSA Advertisement..."the Type III receiver is the heaviest, but the most rigid of the receivers."

May or may not make it more accurate...but it can't hurt.

exactly. can't hurt but i don't believe the cuts on T1/T2 receivers allow them to flex enough (in semi, obviously) to affect accuracy

buy one and try it out..see for your self

i'm not doubting at all that your rifle shoots wonderfully.
my 'Wolf-wannabe SA58 (TYPE1, BADGER BBL, DSA FF, LEUPY 6X42A/O MILDOT, sweet trigger job by MOSES) does great things for a semiauto w/surp ammo. i just don't believe the receiver type affects accuracy.
since it's not gray nor nearly a 'Wolf......maybe i'll call mine a Blackwolfcub

Neither are mine but there is someone making these.

That is a beach blanket in the background...and the FAL is a deep cover model used by operators when their VIP wants to go sunbathing..

Not sure if I'd want one of those in 7.62.

But they might have something if they made it in .45 ACP!!

Looks good.

Where did you get that flash hider?  Is it standard FAL threads?

Got the hider from the guy in Arizona who built the rifle, as far as I know it’s 9/16x24L

That is one badass looking rifle!

Derek has a CAI redo going for me right now and the barrel is supposed to get cut down to the 18-inch para length, I hope it looks as beautiful as yours.

Thanks ch139, I guess I have the FAL bug, I ended up getting another one, the one with wood is another AZEx build as well, just done in parkerized instead of Dura Coat.

50cal, I really like your rifle there.

Clean, simple, and to the point.

Looks like IMBEL from here.

It's all Imbel except for the furniture and upper rec. The upper is Entreprise Arms, the HTS are FSE back when you could still get 'em. The furniture is new Penguin Arms.
The rifle shoots great.
Working on a Para right now. I have a bunch of parts on the way to get it built, they are all DSA.

That is a awesome looking FAL. What is the length on the barrel? I am assuming that rifle is SBR?

Yes it’s registered as an SBR.

The receiver and 11-inch front end are DSA and it was built using a StG-58 parts kit.

It’s a pretty kick ass little rifle if I do say so.

Where are you at in Washington? If you ever get down to the Albany/Corvallis area or down to one of the arf.com shoots, I’d be happy to let you shoot it.

Thank you for the offer, I really appreciate it. I am from the Tacoma area,  I have some family in Oregon so I am down there every so often.
