My father owned this knife since I can remember, he used to called 7 clicks as the sounds when you open it, he passed away back in 2011, and  I don't know much about this blade, wondering if anyone here can help me with some info.... on the actual blade it says "Juan M lopez - Albacete.
also it has some rust, not sure if I should clean it, or leave it like this..

The ratcheting lock teeth (dientes) gave the knife the nickname “carraca” for the clicks it makes when opened.

Was able to find info about the maker, apparently this blade was made between the late XIX century till the mid XX century

Spanish Navaja

I was able to clean the blade rust but not sure if I should polish the blade as it will take away the vintage look, any ideas?

Too much cleaning and polishing actually detracts from the value.
