Well last time so had this idea I messed up and got all of the wrong stuff so I hope it goes better this time. I bought a Gen 2 PS22 awhile back for a good price to do a tube swap in to Gen 3. Unfortunately I got the wrong version with the Russian glass to glass tube so my plan was thwarted.

Well I am back now with the right housing and a MX10130 tube. So my questions are how hard is it to collimnate a clip on? Is it something I could do or does it require specialized equipment?

How were you able to determine the correct housing or did you disassemble it to figure that out? I have one and would love to drop a gen 3 tube in it.

The housing with the small focus wheel on top uses a glass to glass Russian tube. The MX 10130 format PS-22’s have the focus ring that is around the circumference of the body. Found out this information by way of archived threads and a discussion with @dts-blackout25.

Thanks for the info. Mines a CGT model that apparently has a Russian tube based on your info. Oh well, off to find another I guess.
