Nice. I’m not a tanto fan, but I like the overall appearance and design.

And of course, HD is a local favorite.

Pretty cool.

I had to trim a few trees in the yard so naturally I left the power saws in the shed and busted out my Silky and El Chete instead.

I actually just bought a Benchmade Mini-Griptilian 556 for $99 at Cabela's. It replaces a decade old S&W S.W.A.T. MBS which I bought cause it was tacticool. Though to be fair the S&W did hold up really well for all this time. So I'm considering this my first "Grown Up" EDC pocket knife aside from my Leatherman which is more of a tool anyway.

I'm aware that D2 steel is a lot better than the Stainless which the S&W was using. So is there anything I should know as far as the care and sharpening of this blade goes?

Holy cow! Why did no one tell me about Spyderco before??? I’ve always thought of Spyderco as kind of a gimmick but the Para 3 blew me away so much I had to get a Para Military 2 to go with it. The fit, finish, action, etc. are superb.

Agreed. I just bought the left hand brother of your Para 2 and to say I am impressed is an understatement. It carries like a much smaller knife.

I visited MCAS Beaufort last weekend and went to the serve mart to look around to see what they have and that is where I found this it's a Benchmade Adamas fixed knife that comes original box, papers, para cord, holster and sheath. I already have the Benchmade Adamas manual opening version of this knife that I love.

Here is the information about the knife from the manufacturer...

A skeletonized fixed blade with a paracord handle wrap, molded jump rated sheath and Tek-lok attachment system. A portion of the proceeds from these knives are donated to Three Rangers and to the Navy SEAL Foundation; both organizations benefiting the members and families of special operations. MOLLE compatible. Made in USA.
