I have a black FS2000 that I love, but have been kicking myself for years for not getting a factory optics model when I had the chance. Since the PS90 is still on the market, was curious if anyone had heard any  rumblings or rumors about FN bringing the FS2000 back to he UX market?

Slim to none. Lots of used specimens around, though prices keep going up.

One I tried ran fine, but made me feel like I was shooting a large mouth bass!!

Couldn't warm up to it.

I could never love the one I had and I really tried.  It wasn't awful, but just not what I wanted it to be.

I wouldn’t put it past them to do a limited edition collector’s run. I mean they did it with the 249S and that’s a lot more niche.

The Slovenian version would be neat

I’d buy another if it was the same price or cheaper. I like the rifle. I never shoot it anymore but I like it. Lol!

I had the optic version of the FS2000 years ago and can personally say, you are not missing anything. It was visually cool but in function it had a lot to be desired. I liked the design but upon shouldering it, it just felt awkward to me and traded it here on the board to someone else.

I also had a PS90 with the original optic and that was also a waste. Mine had the white sight/outline, which made it difficult to see if not impossible, depending on lighting and what you were shooting at, to aim at anything. I remember a company that was selling a light unit that could be mounted to the optic and could be had in multiple colors,to change the white outline of the factory optic. I almost bought one but decided it wasn't for me.

Kid that works for me has one and I have shot it a number of times. It's like holding onto one of those lifeguard floatation devices.

I’d be interested in a FS2000-S Slovenian version.  I really like my Tactical one.

That said, it would be a total clusterfuck of a limited release the way FN works now.  Instead of something like an reasonably available $2000-$2200 they’d get bought up by resellers and flipped for $3k+.

Chicken/egg scenario - do the scalpers exist because they know collectors will pay it, or do the collectors pay it because the scalpers have made their dubious “services” the only option?

Yes.

Scarcity drives the price.

Ditto, love mine but bought an AUG to shoot since it’s discontinued.  I love the thing.

Aren’t NIB originals less than $3k?

I had one. Ran about 1k through it. Didn’t like it so I sold it and bought a SCAR16. Never looked back. Should have bought the SCAR in the first place.

FN has all the tooling still, and the rifles themselves should be pretty cheap to produce as it's almost entirely plastic.

Resuming 'sporting' imports would probably be the biggest hurdle. That, and FN actually being interested.

AFAIK, FN has disco'd them from Military sales as well.

Slightly higher than the chances HK will resume P7M8 production.

I didn’t know that existed until now. That looks awesome.

It is not often that I really don’t like a gun, but having shot the FS2000....wtf were they thinking....

They need to spend their time making something else.

It’s one of the “neatest” rifles ever made but also very uncomfortable to shoot and not very accurate or durable.

My buddy has 3 of them, loves the design.

He's 2moa or under all day long with his, even took his factory 1.5x optic out to 600 yards against torso steel.

Was there something… unique about the trigger assembly?

Like if a spring was removed or flipped around?

Yes, similar to the Gen 1/2 PS90.

Indeed. That's why they removed the "safety sear" on the trigger packs.
