Hey all, I was wondering if anyone can recommend a ODG paint that will match my stock and grip. I want to paint my free float tube and want it to match. Thanks

It'd probably help to know which stock/grip man.

Matching OD Green between different companies (RRA Furniture and another company paint) is not too easy.

You need to think outside the box...  no affiliation, etc. but a quick google for "rattle can paint to match from sample" turns up these guys... doing a custom match probably too much but they got plenty to choose from...

No affiliation or interest, YMMV, etc so forth and so on...

Intentionally breaking any linking, etc. but I'm sure you can reconstruct it...

Getting components between manufacturers to match is chore enough. Having ran the gamut with Krylon, Aervoe, Rustoleum, Alumahyde, etc all I can say is try a few. Coupled with the fact that everybody's eyes perceive color/shade differently a one stop shop answer is near impossible.

For the closest match Cerakote is my suggestion. Custom colors tailored.

Spray bomb the entire rig, problem solved IMO.

This isn't an uptight home cooking site, you can link to anything reasonable.

OP, trying to match colors is impossible.  I have Magpul MOE+ grips that are different shades of FDE.  If you insist on exact matches, your only real option is having everything you want to match Duracoated, Ceracoated...at the same time.  You can buy all your parts from the same maker at different times and I guarantee you they won’t all match.  Even if you buy and upper and lower from the same company at the same time, it’s not unheard of for the upper and lower to be slightly different shades, especially if the are anodized.

Indeed. But I don't want to provide extra links to ,etc.   As you can see, any idiot can reconstruct the link... it is the web spiders, etc. that would ahve a hard time

I gotta admit that was funny as all heck ^, but cant knock the guy for trying to respect the forum.

Op, as has been said if you want as close to a perfect match as possible on all components, coat them all at the same with the same product from the same batch..be it Cerakote, Duracote or whatever.

This is my experience as well.

If you want multiple components to match with an exact color, you need to gather all your components together and have them coated or painted with whatever specific color and shade you want.
