Anyone ever noticed any issues cutting down a Over/Under the same way you cut down a side by side? I know these arent long range weapons at all, but have you noticed any horrible deviation in hitting the targets?

Anyone have pics of your SBS O/U’s i know they arent as popular as the traditional SxS in short form but i think they look good.

There's no way in hell I'd cut one of my O/U's.  Ugh.  Makes me cringe.

Only issue I've found with mine, Richland Arms 10 ga O/U cut to 10.5, is having to push the barrels down to open the action far enough to load the bottom chamber.

Loosing 10+ inches of counter weight decreased the mechanical advantage available for opening the action.

Sorry no pictures available right now

I purchased this 70s vintage Baikal Izh specifically to create a pistol gripped SBS:

Plan would be to cut to something like this:

Only issue I see is filling the space between barrels:

I’d probably use silver solder vs something like J.B. Weld. Really interested in the pistol/birds head grip vs even a partially cut down full stock. But I know the stock would be more shootable.

Did not think baikals were available until the 90s?

I think sawed off O/Us are absolutely wicked looking! Far easier for something to carry with the barrels both being inline with the action.

Just set up my trust, but I think a sawed off o/u is in my not to distant future! Would prefer to get something common enough that I could get a stock for it, that way I can run it with a stock or birds head one....

The big potential issue is that while the barrels may be regulated properly at factory length they may not be at cut length.

You'll never know until you cut one.
