Usually when I think C&R, I think of Milsurp rifles and pistols…..or at least old revolvers and bolt actions.

Lots of things are turning 50+….and I’ve have been on a .22lr kick as of late.

Such as

Kind of fun to get “modern” rifle shipped right to your door.

Is that a pre-1968, with the bluish-gray anodized receiver? I think that those didn't have serial number prefixes.

Very nice early 10/22, either way.

Nope.  It is a 1972.  Just barely 50+

Well, I was checking it out and discovered that it has a way better trigger than I expected. I don’t really know much at all about 10/22s, so I don’t know if it is original or not.  IIRC, current stock triggers are serrated.  This one has a smooth trigger face and feels damn good and is way lighter than I expected.  If it is original, then someone worked it over.  I don’t have many single stage trigger, but it beaks just as good as any of my G triggers or Larue MBTs…

Yeah there's a lot of things becoming C&R that are more "modern."

I have a 10/22 from 1976 or so, and it has a smooth trigger like that. I'm not sure what the internals look like though.
