The +1 extension is now the tube cap.

Edit: Sorry about that. I should have been more clear. I was referring to the tube spring retainer. My version looks like this. Installing the +1 takes away this option.

Throw it in your parts bin, it is superfluous to the function of the +1 extension.

It will work just fine without it, like I said the extension tube is now the retainer of the spring.

Exactly like my mossberg, the extension is the new endcap.

Used to retain your spring if you wanted to change barrels. I believe it also put an extra step for removing the plug on hunting shotguns. I had a game warden hassle me one time the plug was in but no retainer. I asked him to show the law. He couldnt
