Picked this up in Tennessee on vacation in a small shop in gatlinburg.
made by tops for Sterling F Buster.
I love the look and feel of it and the kydex sheath fits well.
There are some red-ish strands sporadically throughout the blade that's throwing me off.
I roughy it was surface rust at first but it seems
to be throughly embedded in the metal.
Any thoughts?

Probably just incorporated blood in into the blade. That way, you already have first blood.

Interesting shape. Is the tip also sharpened or is it for some specific purpose?

The curved portion is not sharpened.
I've seen some other older multi blade folders with a similar design.

I've tried CLP just to see if it comes off at all.
I'll try vinegar and report back

Yeah a little different, that's the main thing that drew me to it. It's literally as sharp as a straight razor. From what I've read there were only 100 made, this is #12 according to the blade stamp.

The only place I have seen these for sale is lee's cutlery and Arizona knife works. And that was at least a year ago. Sterling F Busters knife works is on FB so I'll probably send him a message
