And to answer another recurring question in this thread: Yes, you can see with these at night. I know, it's crazy View Quote You should read the Perst-3 thread. The importer/distributor mentioned ceasing his offering of the Perst line because of the constant griping and bitching of customers related to long wait times...someone even introduced the idea of them offering expedited shipping and just pocketing the money. It's funny considering the things are being produced in Russia as a weapons laser....shipped across a communist country... then imported into the US as a flashlight...during covid. Crazy that the shipping time is long, right? |

Luminous - 2198 FOM - 1764 EBI - .59 Resolution - 72 Halo - .92 SN - 24.5 Blems - There is something in the zone 2 area, I couldn't get the camera to pick it up. It wasn't round, more like a short thin streak. I'll get more pictures when I'm at home. I went into the mens restroom at work to check it out and take pictures. Naturally I forgot to lock the door and someone walked in on me . Luckily I turned the unit off right when I heard the doorknob, so no excessive light on day 1 Attached File Attached File |

It's so small, I wasn't able to get it to show up on my phone camera. There is maybe 1 or 2 more TINY specks. These are all most assuredly undetectable under actual use. To be clear. Hello everyone, got my NGI PVS-14 XLSH today, and wow, are they incredible.
Woke up to the email on July 3rd, and ordered around 10:30am CST. Talked with Jaime once and emailed her back and forth a few times, and she was fantastic. Specs: Lum: 2157 Halo: 0.93 EBI: 0.2 Resolution: 72 FOM: 2347.2 SNR: 32.6 The clarity is unreal. Everything is super sharp and crisp. Having never looked through a gen 3 device, this thing is awesome! As far as blems go, there is an extremely small dot in zone 3, at the extreme outside edge. I really didn't even notice it at first as it was so small. Honestly thought it was one of my floaters Thanks TNVC! |

Received my DTNVGs last night, much better than the ANVIS I was used to in the Air Force for sure.
Luminous: 1876/1866 Halo: .92/.95 EBI: .18/.42 S/N: 24.5/24.3 Res: 72/72 At first I wasn't thrilled to see the S/N being a bit low, but the EBI and resolution seem to make up for this and they are amazing in low light. I can only make out 1 tiny spec in zone 3 on one tube, no other blemishes at all. Since part of the intended usage for these will be astronomy, I was excited to see low EBI values and overall I am completely stunned at the quality of these tubes (going off of ~700 flight hours under ANVIS NVGs in the Air Force). I was a little worried about the whole "plastic housing" thing with the DTNVGs but now that they are in hand I have absolutely no concerns on their durability, they actually seem like a sturdier build than ANVIS and I absolutely prefer the dovetail mount to the ball detent mount, not to mention the ability to quickly adjust each tube without fussing with knobs etc. Thanks TNVC for providing such a great set of tubes at a great price! |
