Too many people here are doing the adult version of the kid in the back of the family car screaming, "are we there yet? Are we there yet?! Are we there yet?!" They're building the goggles, chill lol. They may be a loud voice but TNVC isn't that big of a company, this thread is nuts.

I don't think anyone is bitching about it.  Most people are planning a lot of other purchases around these, so it's nice to have other customers give us updates on shipping progress.  I'm sure this thread is saving TNVC a lot of emails and phone calls.

And to answer another recurring question in this thread: Yes, you can see with these at night. I know, it's crazy

You should read the Perst-3 thread.

The importer/distributor mentioned ceasing his offering of the Perst line because of the constant griping and bitching of customers related to long wait times...someone even introduced the idea of them offering expedited shipping and just pocketing the money. It's funny considering the things are being produced in Russia as a weapons laser....shipped across a communist country... then imported into the US as a flashlight...during covid. Crazy that the shipping time is long, right?

With NFA items we all know the wait is crazy. With night vision, these several month long waits are more of a recent trend are they not?

I ordered late on the 3rd...like 10pm or maybe even 11pm.  I'm talking about DTNVGs... I already have a pvs14.

Just got my wilcox mount today! and I already have all the lasers and illuminators I need.  Even picked up a Unity fast mount locally for my T1!

To make this week even better......my Hogster arrived on Sunday, and I've already spotted a cougar and cubs stalking my chickens!

Then I see pictures like this and I realize I’m not that bad and break out the credit card some more.

And for that, I thank you.

My NGI PVS-14 XLSH arrived today.

Luminous - 2198

FOM - 1764

EBI - .59

Resolution - 72

Halo - .92

SN - 24.5

Blems - There is something in the zone 2 area, I couldn't get the camera to pick it up. It wasn't round, more like a short thin streak. I'll get more pictures when I'm at home. I went into the mens restroom at work to check it out and take pictures. Naturally I forgot to lock the door and someone walked in on me . Luckily I turned the unit off right when I heard the doorknob, so no excessive light on day 1

Not too shabby on the specs for the price paid! For that "streak" you mentioned, it's most likely what they call "fixed pattern noise" it's very subtle shading/streaks that are usually only noticeable in bright conditions. You'll get used to it no problem. I would rather have that as opposed to dark spot blems!

It's hard to describe, it's like taking a small spot and elongating it with tapered ends. It's so small, I wasn't able to get it to show up on my phone camera. There is maybe 1 or 2 more TINY specks. These are all most assuredly undetectable under actual use.

To be clear. I'm extremely happy with this unit.

Thank you @TNVC
You guys bringing these to market finally got me out of Gen 2 gear

Damn. On that note, fucking FedEx guy left my package on the floor in the open bay door in the machine shop. Only reason I recognized it was here was when I heard him drive off. FedEx delivers and picks up here literally every day and we've never had anything just ditched at the door.

First? I've taken mine out about 10 of the last 14 nights. It's unbelievable. Hiking my woods and staring at the stars.
I put the Steiner MiniTor on a .300BO muffled SBR. More amazement.
It's like adding another sense. Invisible Ninja with Whisper Death super powers mode.

I've had that before. It showed as on a truck, then went back to at distribution facility, and then went to pending. Then it gave a delivery date a few days in the future, and showed up the next day.

Hello everyone, got my NGI PVS-14 XLSH today, and wow, are they incredible.

Woke up to the email on July 3rd, and ordered around 10:30am CST. Talked with Jaime once and emailed her back and forth a few times, and she was fantastic.

Specs:

Lum: 2157
Halo: 0.93
EBI: 0.2
Resolution: 72
FOM: 2347.2
SNR: 32.6

The clarity is unreal. Everything is super sharp and crisp. Having never looked through a gen 3 device, this thing is awesome! As far as blems go, there is an extremely small dot in zone 3, at the extreme outside edge. I really didn't even notice it at first as it was so small. Honestly thought it was one of my floaters

Thanks TNVC!

Received my DTNVGs last night, much better than the ANVIS I was used to in the Air Force for sure.

Luminous: 1876/1866
Halo: .92/.95
EBI: .18/.42
S/N: 24.5/24.3
Res: 72/72

At first I wasn't thrilled to see the S/N being a bit low, but the EBI and resolution seem to make up for this and they are amazing in low light. I can only make out 1 tiny spec in zone 3 on one tube, no other blemishes at all. Since part of the intended usage for these will be astronomy, I was excited to see low EBI values and overall I am completely stunned at the quality of these tubes (going off of ~700 flight hours under ANVIS NVGs in the Air Force). I was a little worried about the whole "plastic housing" thing with the DTNVGs but now that they are in hand I have absolutely no concerns on their durability, they actually seem like a sturdier build than ANVIS and I absolutely prefer the dovetail mount to the ball detent mount, not to mention the ability to quickly adjust each tube without fussing with knobs etc.

Thanks TNVC for providing such a great set of tubes at a great price!

Solid specs and a great testimate for the DTNVG's vs. what you have used in the past.  What aircraft were you flying during your time in?

Enjoy the gear!

Did a walk-around last night with the new dtnvgs - all I can say is - AMAZING.  So much better than my PVS-14. I can actually navigate and walk with confidence through the woods.  I'm going to try driving the quad around tonight.

It feels like I could wear these things for hours and not fatigue. Now I have a decision to make....what to do with all my other NV gear!
