Traded in my 1701 DTNVGs for some 20ua RNVGs. I hope to have them by the end of the week.
1. Sureshot night vision
2. Supposed to be a week- week and a half wait time. Will update when I receive them.
3. Clean no blem tubes, very well matched specs.

.7/.6 halo
2725/2734 sensitivity
63867/63220 gain
2628/2628 fom
4. Sureshot are great to work with. Gave me a fair offer on my DTNVG and picked an awesome set of matching tubes for me. Wanted some clean high spec tubes and they were able to get me some quickly. Im very excited to get them in my hands and put them to good use.

Dang, those specs are awesome. Curious though why you got away from the DTNVG to go to a non articulating housing? Was it more so about getting better tubes?

I like the features of the DTNVG a lot, mainly that they turn off when you flip them up or rotate out the pods. Honestly I like them better than RNVGs, but I always feel like I have to be extra careful when using them and it takes some of the fun out of it. Now I’m sure they’re fairly durable, but for me and my tendency to break things the RNVGs are a better fit. Putting more money towards the tubes vs the housing had something to do with it as well. This will be my third set of RNVGs and those DTNVGs were my second set of those. My 1701 filmless tubes were high spec as well, but I really wanted tubes that were high spec and clean.

This damn thing is amazeballs. Took me nearly a week searching for any imperfections to find a few pin pricks in any of the tubes. In real use you cannot see a single one and they are amazingly clear and sharp.

Buy through JRH with confidence

How are the IPD adjustment dials on the SG unit.  I may someday swap units to the regular non UL BNVD as Ik also really like that unit as well.  Are they snug and solid feeling?  Kinda the same feel as the front lenses adjustment?

My TNVC/NGI 14 came in today.

Ordered 7/3, quoted 1-2 weeks. Shipped right at 3 weeks.

Photocathode 2274
Halo 0.96
EBI 0.32
Res 64
SNR 27

Pretty decent I’ve gotta say! With the daylight filter I see a couple tiny zone 3 blems - ETA now that I've seen it I'd almost be willing to call it peppering vs blems.

1. Vendor: bought from TNVC, but I guess it's technically a Night Goggles product
2. Quoted wait time vs actual wait time: 1-2 weeks, shipped after 3 weeks
3. Specs on tubes: NGI/RNVG-XLS GEN. 3 thin-filmed white phosphor

EBI: 0.53/0.67

FOM: 1689.6/1740.8

Cosmetics (using bro science): 0.006 spot on the border of zone 2 and 1/0.012 zone 3 spot - some "peppering" on both, but it's really imperceptible.

4. Overall impression of said vendor: So far so good - extremely pleased with the tubes I got, but it looks like there is a little debris on the right tube (like a little strand of plastic or something)I emailed them, so we'll see what happens. Edit: shipping them back. Might as well. Edit 2: They got the debris out and shipped her back. Very happy with TNVC!

I ordered a WP PVS-14 33 SNR 72 res 2376 FOM about 2 1/2 weeks ago from Benny at Kosher Surplus.  I wanted duals from the beginning but ended up going with a mono.  BIG MISTAKE.   So I called Benny (a lot) about trading in my PVS-14 for a set of DTNVGs.  Took a little less than 2 weeks for him to ship me a set of DTNVGs with the specs I posted.  I won't hesitate buying from him again.

Had a small issue that he is fixing ASAP.

20ua 36.5 / 72 / 2628 / 0.3 ebi / 0.6 halo / 66113 gain
20ua 36.3 / 72 / 2614 / 0.2 ebi / 0.6 halo / 66945 gain

zero blems

few pepper spots

10yr warranty
less than 2 week delivery
price-  call Benny

Probably getting ready to drop some more coin on a thermal unit..  Tried to talk the wife into keeping the PVS-14, but she thinks thermal would be nice to have.

First thing is check if something is causing the shading near the illuminator output window on the front of the -14.

ETA: such as the phone adapter (how your holding it, etc.)

With Illuminator

Quick question, this appears with the Illuminator on, the shading down towards the bottom at the 7 o’clock..normal?  First time with NV. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/320626/48FB2FA1-B56A-48E5-86BC-AAB1E5A86707_jpe-1530438.JPG.  When mounted it’s at the top (using the phone mate adapter)

@kersty52
First thing is check if something is causing the shading near the illuminator output window on the front of the -14.

ETA: such as the phone adapter (how your holding it, etc.)

Hey, thanks man.  Your post made me think about a couple things.  I pulled off the sacrificial lens and boom, shadowing is gone.  Just might be a small coating issue with the lens.  Thanks for making me think, and thanks everyone here for sparking my interest in this wizardry.

?? good deal

Because of how diffused the illuminator is it doesn’t take much to cast a shadow.

Ordered June 24 from JRH Enterprise. Told about 4 weeks. 3 weeks in, I requested certain specs to Robert. He was more than accommodating, as he had been the entire time. I also purchased a FLIR Breach and DBAL-A3 from him on this same order. Everything shipped quickly and well-packaged.

Elbit thin film WP tube, specs:

Lum 2203
Ebi .72
Halo .97
Snr 29.7
Res 64
Fom 1900.8

Haven't used it yet to look for peppering or blems.

So far, I would reccomend Robert/JRH to anyone and have no qualms with how he conducted business with me.

-Vendor: TNVC, my experience was very positive with them.
-Item: PVS-14 White Phosphor, thin-filmed.
-Wait time: shipping notice received 12 weeks from the time I ordered on May 13, received Aug. 7th
-Specs on tubes:

Photocathode-        2051
EBI-                      .3
SNR-                     24
Center Resolution-  64
Halo-                    .96
Lum Gain-             14833

This is my first NVD and I have no idea what any of the specs mean, I think I Posted the relevant ones. Let me know if I should post any others. So far I'm pretty impressed with it, only used it looking around a dark room.

I am having a problem connecting the J-arm to my RHNO II mount (also purchased from TNVC, so I know its not some Chinese knockoff). I haven't messed with it too much but it seems like the J-arm doesn't go into the mount far enough to engage the spring loaded clip. eta: I'm almost positive that I have to remove some material (from the J-arm) to get it to work.

Probably. Most new ones are super tight. I can usually get them to work together by repeatedly slamming the J arm into the socket a few hundred times.

Overall you got pretty solid specs. The EBI is great. The SNR is minimum spec, but it should still work great.
