Man, you guys who got in on the July 4th sale and got your stuff already are making me jealous.
I'm exactly 14 weeks from my order date (April 14th I think) on some hand select white phosphor RNVG's (I was quoted 12-14 weeks). They'll be worth the wait and I don't mind waiting for what I want.. but some of these last posts are making me envious. Has anyone received an RNVG/DTNVG-XLS units yet? I'm curious how the specs are and how closely matched they are. |

Quoted: Your Photonis 4G typical is incorrect as Photonis measures EBI in a different unit than US manufacturers (microlux vs phot). Multiply your EBI by 10 to correct it to the same unit (your EBI in phot would become 1.5) and your typical becomes 21.3 which isn't all that great compared to what other people are getting. View Quote Was 4G+ not 4G but the figure they quote is indeed microlux :) or roughly 1.5 in imperial units. Likewise its worth noting Omni VIII contract EBI - 3 and OMNI IX contract EBI - 2. Certainly some good tube specs in the thread list. |

Your chart shows a pretty big difference between chevy69's 27 and Iam4's 166. Would the performance differences be appreciably visible? |

1. TNVC thin-filmed WP XLSH PVS-14 (July 4th sale)
2. Bought July 3rd couple hours after the email announcement. 2 - 4 day quoted lead time. Shipped on July 16th. A little longer than quoted, but they obviously got slammed with the sale. Received July 20th. 3. Lum: 1714 Halo: 0.95 EBI: 0.19 Resolution: 64 FOM: 1414 SNR: 22.1 4. I definitely didn’t win the spec lottery. However, the tube and glass seems very clean. I’ve noticed one small spec in I think Zone 2. It’s only noticeable on a white background and pretty hard to find when in actual use. May be too small to be an actual blem. I’m pretty new to night vision and have only looked through a couple other PVS-14s with unknown specs so I don’t really have enough experience to give any more review than that. I’m going to get some more use with it and give it a fair chance. |

Guys I’m at the CA facility augmenting the build team (I built 15 PVS-14’s yesterday) and Jacob build 15 others, Today I’ll be doing some RNVG’s for folks. We are cranking them
Out as fast as we can without cutting corners. Bear with us, the volume of orders is record setting and all of our units that were prebuilt are long gone, we are constantly sourcing components to satisfy these orders and so far 90% of the XLS tubes we’ve built meet or exceed milspec mins. These tubes are such a good value that I’m going to suck it up and buy a set for a spare DTNVG. |

Yes, parts and tubes. Yea we can source "other" glass and components, slice our lead times in half, but we will NEVER succumb to that. Our customers fully expect the best custom builds using all true mil spec components all built in-house. This is also true for all NGI's XLSH builds. Yea we got accused these "were not Autogated, tons of blems and ultra low specs". So far we think folks are pretty darn excited on the overall NGI XLSH PVS-14 for the price and performance. Even after the sale, so many units getting ordered as the these are the best buy PVS-14 still backed up with a 10 year tube and lifetime system warranty out there. |

Once the July 4th sale hit I was positive it'd be a while. As someone who's own employment has seen a 50% increase in sales the past four months, I understand the craziness. Recieved Elbit Rnvgs with handpicked specs from Night Solutions last week. Used them for 5 days hard at Cola Warrior Flyover 3 and then got offered a deal I CANNOT refuse to upgrade to l3 unfilmed.

Specs on elbits FOM 1824/2224 Res 64/72 Snr 28.5/30.8 Ebi 0.16/0.34 New l3 specs FOM 2182/2361 Res 64/72 Snr 34.1/32. 8 Ebi 0.3/0.2 I loooooved my elbits. Wish i could keep those exact tubes for my future loaner mod3s but money is a finite resource. As far as lead time i think it was about 3 weeks which is was about what I was quoted. Payment happened when the unit left for my hands. He even offered to loan me his mod3s so that I could do event stuff a day early as the unit wouldnt arrive until Wednesday. Very solid seller and would reccomend to anyone. |
