That's some great info- thanks. So for a first can, would you recommend the mg7 or mg10?

It's probably in the thread somewhere but I didn't see it... Anyone got a weight for the bare can (mg7) with no mounting adapter in it?
Thanks |

Has anyone tried the YHM Phantom with full size brakes on this can? Or will only the Kurz kit work?

The crenulated front edge on that shotgun can is ridiculous. I can’t stand that snag-prone shit on flashlights, flash hiders, flash cans, blast diverters, suppressors, hand guards, etc. Might be useful on bipod feet or a ski pole tip. What’s next, fins and chromed vent holes like a 50s land barge?

Has anyone stuck a MG7 .358 on an Ak-47 with a 10" barrel yet? If so, how'd it sound? Post a photo.

I either getting a stock MG7 or a custom unit with an extra 1 or 2 baffles. I'm not too concerned with sound. I just want to tame the blast of the 7.62x39 out of a 10" barrel.

Totally ignorant of shotgun breaching tactics so that never occurred to me but I think I’ve also seen a Tromix Saiga SBS with a toothy looking muzzle device. This is one of those areas where a removable front cap with different features could have merit. |

View Quote I bought one for that reason. I haven't removed the welded muzzle nut yet though. Should I just take a rotary tool to the weld? I did buy a KNS adapter, it indexes off the muzzle, then I also bought a YHM moount adapter. when I can get a 14x1 flash hider. The KNS adapter with a 5/8 YHM brake on a Green Mountain barreled Yugo and a Resonator K seemed fine with a KBA rod but I haven't been able to shoot it yet. I might bring the Romy G with original barrel out to my dealer this weekend and test fit. |

Used a little Birchwood Blue to touch up. I'm hoping the larger bore of the .358 leaves enough room for concentricity error. If it works I plan on ordering a GA 14-1 minimalist brake for Plan A mounts. |

I just had my pusher order an MGX 9 baffle .358 can for my upcoming Ak shorty. I already feel good about it. Now I have to figure out mounting for FAL and .308 bolt gun.

Finally got my .358 to the range and ran it on a Q 300 black shooting Sellier and Beloit and Hornady subs. The big caveat here is this was my first time shooting a thicc can.
1. Holy shit did it sound good. Great tone. 2. Minimal gas blowback. 3. Very quiet on subs, no I didn’t shoot any supersonic as all this gun shoots are subs. 4. Quieter to my ears than a Sandman S in this role. |

I did fit my adapter and my Mini Boss/Omega 9K clone on the Romy G, and tried my Resonator K too, on the Romy G barrel. I don't have an accurate way to measure the bore of the Omega 9K clone but it's a well established silencer so someone else might know a measurement and you could compare to your MG7. Not sure how helpful this all is, since every barrel is different. Images below. Click To View Spoiler |

I removed the muzzle nut off of the 2018 production Draco today, test fit with the Resonator K, nothing torqued though. I didn't try the Mini Boss since it's in three-lug config but I can swap if you want.

Perhaps I have missed this info, but how would the mg7 compare to something like the resonator r2. It's shorter and fatter, and my math indicates it has about 10% less internal volume and 1 less baffle.

So I scrolled looking for it but didn't see any info on it.
Has anyone put a keymo on the MG7. Was looking at getting one for my 13.7 with the SOLGW NOX and was wondering if it would fit. I know the Nomad with keymo the NOX doesn't fit. |
