I've been looking and lurking to finally buy a little do-it-all thermal to replace one of my extra PVS-14s.

Anyone have scoop on what new tech will be introduced at SHOT this year in the weapon-mountable 640 small enough to helmet mount reticle'd thermal genre?

So far, I noticed a couple things being promoted as "new releases" this year:

PARS Thermals with "design your own reticle"

But I'm still looking for stuff that is like a better Breach with weapons mount & reticle... Kinda wish SIG would do something better with their BDX + Thermal + App setup. That's cool in normal dayscopes.

Tagged for interest.

Curious to see what else is going to be debuted at SHOT.  The Breach didn't work very well for me in Florida humidity.

How’s the illuminator going to perform?  MAWL?  I can’t see a company putting out a new LAM that has a weak illuminator.

Does that say only 35mW on the warning label for the IR bands?
Is it a full retail unit, or just a prototype still?

Interesting the BNVD’s on the right appear to be a F5032 (PVS-31D) housing….I’m curious what tubes are available from Eotech.

The Artemis is available in both BNVS (dovetail) and Anvis (ball detent) power source configuration and is swappable between both.

The BNVS interface has a battery compartment for a single CR123A with a Fischer connector for remote battery packs such as the L3H CWB, GPNVG pack, or also the LPBP-GO and standard Anvis packs with the addition the TNVC-ABCA Remote Power Supply Adapter Cable.

FDE is the standard color. I’ve been using the Anvis config for a “minute” and I can say it’s a GREAT goggle.

It is articulating, illumination, gain, and controlled by battery pack.

Those are LOW and HIGH Power modes or models? If the civi RAID-XE’s illuminator is limited to 0.7mW like their civi RAPTAR-Lites I’d be super big sad.

If they figured out something like BE Meyers did with the MAWL and Kiji it'd be great.

Well yeah I’m sure if Wilcox wanted they could have added a feature that sensed when the FDA was near and dialed it all back to legal limits VW-style lol. They’re really complicated units. Just hoping they make the civi XE a reasonably useful device. Getting any info on the plans for their civi lineup has been challenging when most folks online with RAIDs and NGALs are just flexing their high power stuff.

I wanna say the products are made by Theon Sensors and imported by Eotech by I could be totally wrong about that.

I’m pretty sure Elbit imports housing from Theon for the PVS-31d contract.

$2600 monocular. I'd rather buy analog at the same price.

Sure. But it represents a nice leap in tech. That’s good for multiple reasons, a big one is price.

2600 bucks also gets you an external battery pack.  It's not a bad deal if the "tube" performs.  We will have to see how it does when its released in July.
