My Gemtech Outback II threads are just ever so slightly boogered.  The three different rifles are as well.  I think I managed to get some powder and or brass in the threads causing this.

Anyway.....

Do I want a tap/die set or do I want to get a rethreading set?
The host/can still screws on but has a little resistance.

Thanks!

While you can get the job done with a tap/die set. A thread cleaner/chaser would be more appropriate. I have a snap on kit that works very well on anything I work on from cars to guns, it was pricey but I have used it so often it was worth it to me. I bet you could just buy a single and save some money.
