Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Need a new NVR

Mine died in the last couple of days.  Hopefully the HDD is ok.  I currently have five cameras, plan to add two more shortly.  I am running them through a separate POE switch right now.

This was the previous one that I got on sale from Nelly's several years ago:  Eyesurv Ion.  Interface was terrible but it worked well.

Have you thought about building a PC and running Blue Iris?

I'll get more details on my build when I am at my computer in a couple of hours.

ETA:

The reason I suggest this is that you have much more flexibility with an actual Blue Iris build than a NVR.  It is also an open system so if you have a hardware/software issue you have a chance of getting it fixed.

I built my PC with this case and it has worked out amazingly well and I have 14 cameras running on it currently.
