Does anyone have any experience with this monocular?   ATN MO4-1 Gen. 1 I know gen 1 are basic, but this is my first unit on a tight budget, anyone know anything about this? or could maybe help me find my way in the dark?

Here's what the old PVS-502 scope was meant to mount on. The FNC1A1 rifle.
Not exactly the best eye relief, but this scope mount/body cover still allowed the use of the iron sights.
It utilizes some PVS4 parts, ie. objective lens, vert and horiz adjustments, eye cup, smaller electronics, etc.
I've got to borrow my buddy's PVS4 to show a comparison. This 502 is about the same diamensions as the pvs4, except it is slightly longer than the 4.
Note the battery diagram on the body of the scope. The 502 uses normal N batteries, but as per stuff the military does, the civilian battery goes in opposite. Therefore you have to put them in + side first, but they end up with the 'tit' side being the positive, which is backwards to the picture (sort of)

Of course with the proliferation of weaver/picatinni style bases, an ARMS 19A throw lever mount bolted right on this, and so I can shoot my M4 with this on.

Hello last_lancer, your topic at page 6.

I take this picture at Feb. 2007 in my location in 66482 Zweibrücken, Germany.
The location is here:  49°13'57.84"N  and   7°25'15.35"E in Google Earth. View from the left side an the street.

The picture is from a PVS7B with a russian GEN3 Tube from KATOD, Type 102G-03-32 S. At the time have the Tube in my Hand!.

I have a lot of pictures from different Tubes in different Night Vision..  PVS-7B, DVS-7, MINI14, PS14 and a lot more.
If you wont I can send original pictures with the EXIF Data.

If you need any information, ask
me.http://www.nachtjagen.com/pictures/nightviev-dvs8-xx1959.jpg

These were taken tonight. Overcast moonless night. The camera on its own only got a totally black picture, this is what I could see.

I just stuck the camera up to the goggles, there is some dust, its on the eyepiece lense, not in the tube.

Pics would be better, but I couldn't get my DSLR camera to work. Only my wife's $80 digital "purse" camera. NVG is the right half of a 12 year old F4949 that was damaged. Left unit quit working. So I took it all apart and rigged up a cheap standalone monocular that works.

1. Parking lot:

2. Same lot with NVG:

3. Outside our condo's bedroom window:

4 Same as above different angle:

Pics were taken on a clear bright moonlite night in S. Texas at the lease.  There is a pretty good reflection coming off of my truck in the first pic.

East Texas, moonless clear night - about 7 miles from Nacogdoches. Less than sterling quality is due to hand held pocket digital shooting through PVS-14 with no adaptor, and not the fantastic quality optic Victor supplied.

And my Tacticool Berner, Bo (Beowulf), in my backyard!

No pics with Da Torch, but it was lighting up the tree line out to over 300 meters.
Thanks, Victor!

GT14 from TNVC
Overcast night. No stars or moon visible.

Backyard w/ street light out front

Livingroom w/ street light through mini blinds

Same shot w/ NVM no IR

Attack puppy w/ IR illuminator pissed 'cause I woke him up. Again.

Pics don't do this GT14 any justice. Image is much clearer and brighter in person.

Some pics I took through some loaned NV from a friend.  All pics were taken from an open window at the same area one after the other.  Really shows the difference between Gen 2 and 3.

As seen by the naked eye, SLIGHTLY brighter than pic shows but not much.

Some cool IDF-issue NV gear. Just uploaded these from when I was in, by the way I took these with a camera phone. So the quality sucks.

Litton Akilah:

It's a 4x scope with a rangefinding reticle. I'm not posting how to read it here in case some Arab stole one and wants info on how to use it.

For the last pic I removed the scope from the rifle. The guy is about 150m away.

Added here so they're more easily referenced.

Various Reticles through  the PVS-22 at 100 yards.

Night Force scope at 5.5x power looking through PVS-22.  Visible spots are from my dumb ass not cleaning it thoroughly before taking the picture.

2 different ACOG's with and without “DA TORCH” DEDICATED LONG RANGE INFRARED ILLUMINATOR  all looking through the PVS-22.

D740 Gen II SHP all taken with out illuminator, these images just don't do this scope any justice as the camera I have isn't the greatest...

Ethanol plant about 75 yards away with ambient light...

Woodline in the same area on over cast night, trees about 200 yards away....

Empty factory smae night same area, the building is about 500 yards...

My neighbors house about 85 yards...

A farmhouse on an overcast night about 350 yards...
