Cool product, i like the material, but I'm kinda left scratching my head on a couple things and there are a couple small rounds that don't fit anywhere (unless they were meant to be extras).

Edit: A solid Heat Gun made all the difference in the world too!

nothing special but i'll throw my stuff up.

years ago when I was running a single 14. I used to run white light on one helmet rail and a surefire M1 on the other rail.

But I realized that I rarely ever used either one so I opted to "slick" my helmet a little bit. ditched the lights on the rails and cleaned up all the extra doo-dads and what not.
feels less bulky and more streamlined now.

I have a headlamp I keep around my neck if I ever need white light

Back when I was running a 14

What im running now, and yes that is a home made "Nerds" device since I already have tons of velcro and shock cord. took me 10 minutes to make one.

nice setup.  well done on the homemade NERD.  I have a NERD, nice but $35 is a tad spendy for what it is.

Trying to improve the IHPS helmet. Made a bastard harness out of a Team Wendy cam-fit and the mounting points for the helmet. Feels fairly solid so far.

Those sliding straps with their tiny clips help alot. I've really come to like their gear and may post my dedicated NV Helmet soon. Tell you guys this though. They say if you fall in between Size 1 and Size 2 be very careful. I fell exactly on the nose and Size 2 was a tad large. Had to add pads for it to fit right.

Agreed.

I figure I probably won't get a chance to train with Duffy due to his location, and I've gotten a lot of value out of his YouTube videos, so I bought it out of a belief in good karma or something.

Which set up of 4D pads do I need for a team Wendy exfil sl? I don’t see any specific to TW on their website.

They don't have anything "Team Wendy" specific so I'd suggest the ACH ones. Just ordered a set of them for my EXFIL. Going to be interesting putting them in.

I think I've got it to a place I'm content for the time being.  Ops-Core bump, 4D pads, Wilcox G24 & modular bridge, 2 WP 14's, AMP helmet mount with AXL adadpters and Sordin Pro ear pro,  Thrym Variarc with Surefire M300V, Agilite helmet bridge & lead counterweight.  I'm also currently storing my handheld Surefire on the side of the helmet until I get my battle belt finished up then it'll be on there.  Not pictured is the FLIR Breach on a Wilcox arm that I can pop onto the bridge when I'm loaning a 14 to my hunting partner.  I've got a lot of time under a helmet but almost none with NV so I'm pretty excited to get it all together.

So...
The Axl Advanced RAC Link for MSA Sordins are only designed to work with the Over The Head Variants.
I did not see this warning when I ordered the full kit including the OpsCore AMP headset arms.
I did not understand the reason for the incompatibility until I had already begun to irreversible disassemble my Sordins.
It was at this point that I seriously regretted not returning everything before I had started down this path, and buying Peltor COMTACs or OpsCore AMPs instead.

However...
Fully committed, one drink into my evening and hacksaw in hand... I found a way to make it work.

I hope this cautionary tale is of used to someone here.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

@DV8EDD it's very subtle and challenging to photograph but, the rear (non-wired) studs where the neck band connect to the ear cups are flush from the factory (no groove for the RAC Links to engage under). A couple of gentle passes with a hacksaw took enough material off the studs and the ear cups underneath that the RAC Link has some engagement, and won't easily slip off the stud.

I do not recommend doing this, YMMV, 5 minutes or 5 miles guaranteed, etc. It was simply the best I could come up with after irreversible mistakes had already been made.

This is my work in progress Frankenstein helmet setup.  I'm still kinda figuring out what works for me and what I like.  I haven't completely decided what methods I want to use for retention so there is some loose cordage that needs to be trimmed.

My philosophy in life is to be as minimalist as possible.  I'm trying to get my helmet to reflect that and be as light as possible without anything on it that I don't absolutely need.  My long term goal is to transition from a monocular to a set of binos.

Functionally, not that big of a difference. To me anyway. But the ability to use CR123s like all my other devices use, and the added battery life that goes with it, is pretty awesome.

I also have one. I do like it, one issue is there is no safety on the power button. one press and its on. so as usual make sure batts out when you are done. dual fuel is nice though.

Does it put the battery cap in about the same spot? I've got a butler creek flip cap over the standard sacrificial lens on mine and the normal cap rubs pretty good on it.

I really like it, It feels much more streamlined.

I already have white/IR on my gun and with a headlamp around my neck I pretty much have anything I need.

I do have a surefire M1 I could keep in a pocket or a chest rig if I wanted to. but honestly between a surefire vampire and a PEQ on the gun I cant really think of a situation when I need helmet mounted IR.
I leave the filter over the laser illuminator for close up stuff under 20 yards. The surefire vampire works well for me out to 150 or so.

I think I went the opposite direction.   Started with nothing and just used my weapon illuminator but got tired of that when it's overcast or no moon so added a Princeton charge.  Found that the charge is pretty well worthless at any distance so added a vampire scout.

Here are my setups!

I've got a ton of hours under the PVS-14 + Nightcap combo, and it's really comfortable.  It fits into my daypack that goes everywhere with me.  My RNVG setup is brand new, and it's a massive upgrade over dual PVS-14's.

As an aside, if anyone is interested in buying a Norotos Universal Shroud, AKA2, and a DDA for the left eye, let me know.

You might try the Wilcox auto off J-arm, it angles to the rear a little. I have the G69 on an airframe and with the Wilcox auto off J-arm it can slide back far enough to touch my eyebrow.

I found the norotos dual dovetail adapter gets it far back as the auto off j-arm and is a lot more solid. I don't ever switch eyes so took the second dovetail off mine.

I agree, mine sits a little too far out with G24 and Wilcox J-Arm with no power wire.  Helmet is perfect so I'm not changing that.  I recall seeing an adaptor that solved for this but cant find it again for the life of me.  It connects between the mount and the J-arm I think.  Any internet gurus know what I'm talking about?

You need to link to an actual picture file, it needs to end in .jpg or similar. Us the picture attachment not the url link, it'll have [img] brackets.

I'm not sure if icloud works for embedding pictures on this website. I used to use imgur, but with a paid account we can upload pictures directly now.
