Not my idea, I stole it from over on HPG forums. Stated working on the stock last winter and then got busy, last weekend I finally had time to get everything back together!

I see the picture, looks like the front third or so of the rifle with a Pic rail sticking out from the front of the stock.

For what sane reason did the OP fugly up that stock by attaching a rail on the off-side?
It sticks out like a sharp poker and will surely impale just about anything it touches or hits against.

The rail isn't parallel to the bore. Looks...weird.
