Do any exist that are still work a crap for hearing protection?
My Walker Razor slims are not cutting it if I want a proper cheek weld

I use the peltor "shotgunner"

They work decent but don't have the highest rating so with louder calibers I use them with foam plugs.

lots depend on the stock in play as well

head up shooting like trap or skeet muffs of whatever size arent an issue

never found a set that worked for me with a straight stock like an AR or AK

I waited to see some answers and they mirror my experience.
My only solution is use a suppressor with ear plugs.
On non threaded guns I put up with the muffs being in the way.

Of all the ones I've tried:
Pro Ears Predator Gold
https://proears.com/product/predator-gold/

The concave contour on the lower half of the cups, made a difference to me regarding the cheekweld vs their Pro and the lower battery bulge on Comtacs, Sordins or the Ops Core Amp.

These are what sit by the bedside (also much easier/quicker to turn on, straight to maximum sensitivity, with the knobs vs finding and pressing/holding a button).

*** That said, my favorite ear pro are the Otto Noisebarrier Micro in-ears. With Comply Pro foam tips, I've shot .50BMG with just the Noizebarriers, and no muffs, and been fine. They were also comfortable for 8 hour stretches.

I use Walkers with no issue, must have to do with face shape. How high is your optic mount? I think that could play a factor also.

That's not really a solution. Most of us are at the range with a bunch of other people shooting at the same time

Never had that problem.  Bring the rifle to your face not the other way around.

I quit messing with muffs because they interfered with shotgun and rifle shooting.

Surefire EP5 plugs and never looked back.

Custom molded in-ear plugs. Best $80 I’ve spent.

How much sound do those types of plugs cut out?
