Thought I’d start a new post versus walking on the other gentleman’s post. I’m trying to determine the value of an early Winchester Model 94. 30 -  WCF, stamped 1,176,XXX  (Not sure of year)

Date of manufacture.

I don't know the value, but have a similar year, 1940-1941. I wouldn't sell it for anything. One of my favorites. I swapped out the buckhorn for a Lyman peep sight.

Looks like a Longwood version.

I will defer to experience on this one.

The forearm or front wood is longer then "newer" ones. I believe right around 1950

I have one with the Williams sight. A 1949 and about $600 or $700 in trade value about 8 years ago.

I have a 1949 as well. Picked it up a few years ago for around $600.

I have a 1942(the guys on the WRA board assured me it was finished in 1945). I paid 600.00 about 10 years ago. I think someone sold it because they thought it was broken. The loading rails just needed to be tightened.

Ironically I had the exact same issue with mine when i bought it, loose cartridge guides.  The screws for those are difficult to access, I ended up taking mine to gunsmith to fix.
