Anybody care to chime in on the possibility of converting an 1894 in 357 mag to take 357 max?  Is it possible?

As you already know, the extra length is going to be a real problem.
It would be interesting to load a Max in a 1894 and see what the actual clearance problem would be

Even if you could get one to work, the 1894 isn't a very good platform. They have a hard enough time with the 357 mag

IDK about that one, my 45-70 will not function with anything over standard length cartridges.   Might not even be able to eject a loaded round without opening up the ejection port.
