Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Magpul Hunter X-22

I recently bought a Magpul Hunter X-22 to replace the Hogue rubberized stock that came on my 10/22. I love the stock, but when in a free float configuration, it isn't very rigid up front.

Anyone modify one of these to maintain free float but reinforce the foregrip?

I used the tensioning insert on mine.  I haven't tried to tune it yet but I guess mine isn't technically free floated because of that.  Did you try that insert at all?  Be curious if it did anything of any value?
